31 DAYS OF POETRY- DAY 30- ALLURING POSE OF WUSHAPA- by Eriata Oribhabor

Wushapa!
I see you through your alluring eyes
That quench the thirst of hearts holding the
Rudder walking you through dubious paths
Away from the eyes of the world, waiting…
To consume your beauty.
Wushapa!
I see you through the bowels
Of your rocky world, head and shoulder
Above all, with covers of warmth, walls
Of hope, tied to the future of many.
Wushapa!
I see you as a punch bag
Who may have won plaudits from eyes
That see, providing life to all…
Yet I know you… rich but poor.
I see you beyond the ordinary.
Wushapa!
Come let’s engage them, not for a show
Come let’s engage them that know
Come let’s walk known paths of peace.
This time, with stern talk to rejig
A shady system, failing to act.
Wushapa!
Not again! No! Not again!
You are not one to be still
Come feel the yonder world
You must move away from this
Taste of sores.

  1. This is beautiful, especially reading it from so distant a place. I can practically see wushapa before me;
